Graduate Programme Design for a Global Asset Manager

Overview

A global asset and wealth management organisation sought to strengthen the structure and impact of its graduate development programme.

The programme operated across multiple regions and supported several business streams within the organisation. While the existing programme included a range of technical sessions, the organisation wanted a more cohesive learning journey that would prepare graduates to operate effectively in different parts of the business.

PreSSense worked with internal stakeholders to design a comprehensive global graduate development programme that integrated technical capability, professional skills, and applied learning experiences across multiple streams.

The Challenge

The organisation faced several challenges typical of large global graduate programmes:

  • The programme operated across multiple regions with graduates located in different markets

  • Several business streams required tailored technical content

  • Technical learning was delivered through individual sessions rather than a structured journey

  • Graduates needed stronger communication and stakeholder engagement capability

  • The organisation wanted learning experiences that better reflected real working environments

The programme required a structured design that could support global delivery while remaining relevant to multiple business divisions.

The Approach

PreSSense worked closely with programme stakeholders across the organisation to design a multi-phase global graduate development journey.

The programme included:

  • A structured induction programme introducing core industry and organisational knowledge

  • Technical learning sessions aligned to different business streams

  • Professional skills development focusing on communication, collaboration, and decision-making

  • Applied learning experiences and group challenges designed to mirror real business scenarios

  • Ongoing virtual learning sessions supporting graduates across multiple regions

This approach ensured the programme maintained global consistency while supporting the needs of different business divisions.

The organisation benefited from:

  • A structured global graduate development framework

  • Clear alignment between technical learning and professional skills development

  • Greater engagement from participants and business stakeholders

  • A scalable programme model supporting multiple regions and business streams

The programme continues to evolve as the organisation expands its early-career talent strategy.
